F-Decalin® and F-Octane® are biocompatible, completely fluorinated and chemically inert. They can be used for intraoperative tissue manipulation and in cases such as:
- Inferior retinal detachments
- Large tears
- Trauma
- Laser photocoagulation and cryotherapy
- Lifting of luxated lenses
- Short-term stabilization of reattached retina
