It has been more than 45 years since Labtician developed the first retinal implant fabricated from silicone. Dr. Louis Girard cited Labtician as being the first manufacturer of silicone retinal implants in a paper he presented in 1959. Labtician has been a leading developer and supplier of these materials ever since. Later we expanded our manufacturing presence in the Ophthalmic market through the introduction of our Labtician Lid Loads. These gold eyelid weights are used in the treatment of lagophthalmos.

Most recently we entered the Ophthalmic Silicone Oil market with the innovative combination of LSO™ and LSO Quickset™ The QuickSet offers the O. R. staff a convenient easy to use method of silicone oil injection.
